I Want to Be a Hawk in 2010

This morning, on my daily meditation walk, I came across this hawk in the sky. It was circling above the treeline with almost no effort at all. I don't believe I ever saw it flap its wings. It was truly beautiful.

What stayed with me was the thought of how this hawk - probably looking for a meal or rodent on the ground - had a peaceful energy about it. It was an example of infinite patience. It must've been hungry, yet it continued to patiently circle while scoping the ground. It then moved on to another area, not too far away, and began to circle yet again. It was as if it was covering a large area by working one small segment at a time.

Even when hungry, it exhibited a precise and focused approach to manifesting its intentions. We, as freelance artists, voiceover talent, would do well to be more like the hawk.

The question now remains, "Who or what is rodent?"
